You'll also enjoy your swimming area with diving raft, two kayaks (life jackets provided), and fishing from your dock. Inside Lookout Cabin: Like many of the older cabins in this area, the water is supplied by the lake. We have a newly-installed double-filter +UV light purification system that renders the water potable and purer than most bottled water for purchase! Kitchen has pots, pans, coffee maker, dishes, microwave and utensils. Small TV/DVD player. Movies, books, games, cards, and stereo. Blankets and kitchen linens provided. Guests must provide own bed linens and towels. Outside Lookout Cabin: You'll never tire of the lake -- it's clear and clean, perfect for swimming and fishing. The anchored diving raft, which you share with the neighbors, provides hours of entertainment for the kids. Your dock is a virtual outdoor living room, where you can play games, have meals, fish, or simply relax on a lounge chair. After a full day, you can wash up in the outdoor shower and then head to town for a movie. You're just 20 minutes away from the historic town of Middlebury, where there are theaters, concerts, farmers markets and summer events. Burlington, Vermont is just about an hour drive north. Please note that this is a smoke-free property. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the grounds or in the cottage.

The bedroom has a full size bed. With memory foam topper. The floor plan of the cabin is an open area. There is a nice swimming area, sandy, great for families with little ones and older folks. There is a floating dock to swim out to and jump off. 3 Kayaks, Picnic table, chairs, gas grill with propane tank included, water cooler with water provided. TV and DVD player. We have wireless internet. There is also a small deck and a dock. Feel free to bring a boat if you have one. Boat launch right next door. fire pit. I do not provide towels, or bedding. Our cabin is located on 2.5 level acres that includes frontage on the northwest shore of beautiful Lake Dunmore. My wife and I are the only individuals that manage change-over between guests. VRBO has provided us with cleaning protocols and effective cleaning and disinfecting products recommended by the CDC for novel viruses, including Covid-19. We have adopted these cleaning protocols to provide you with safe lodging. The cabin has two bedrooms on the second floor. The living and dining rooms have beautiful wood paneling. A propane heater is located in the living room to keep you warm when the weather is cool. The full bathroom is modern. The kitchen is well appointed with pots, pans, dishes, modern gas range and oven, microwave, refrigerator and utensils. Our wrap-around, screened-in porch provides an ideal location to enjoy the view of the Green Mountains on the opposite shore of the lake or to relax and catch up on your summer reading. The clean water for the cabin is provided by a well located on the property. We provide free wireless internet. Our outside deck has a picnic table, several Adirondack chairs and a gas grill. We are situated at the North end of the lake with a beautiful view looking south. Come relax on the deck or sit down on the dock, fish for bass or simply float around in a tube without worrying about wake. Before long it will be time to roast marshmallows under a star lite sky. If you don't like the water, there are hiking trails, brewery, winery and spirit trails and various Vermont excursions nearby. Our 3+ bedroom cedar home is 2000+ square ft and features 2 1/2 baths. It's equipped to be a comfortable get away for 10+ guests.

We are centrally located between Middlebury and Brandon, making everything possible and easily accessible including 2 grocery stores, nice restaurants, pharmacies, locals pubs, general stores, farmers markets, local shopping in charming Middlebury, wineries, breweries, a movie theatre, a golf course, amazing hikes and waterfalls in the national forest 1 mile away, and so much more. The lakehouse is technically a 5 bedroom home, with 3 currently are being offered to guests, though you would have the home to yourself, of course. We can discuss using additional rooms if you have more guests. The house also has a garage, but it is recommended that guests park in the large circular driveway. This is a very special home to myself and my family and is not for large parties, events, or spring break-type holidays. It is perfect for families (children are fine!) and couples looking to experience Vermont at its finest in a relaxing and serene location. If you enjoy swimming in clear lake water and jumping off of a float without worrying about motorboats, our quiet summer home may be just the place for you. It is a beautiful A-frame house with huge windows and deck overlooking serene Fern Lake. In this main house there is a master bedroom with a queen bed and full bath, a large loft with two single beds, a small kitchen that is open to a living/dining area, and an additional half-bath. You may certainly use the large gas grill on the large deck. There is also a small guest cabin a stone’s throw away that has a queen bed, two single beds, and its own bathroom with shower. Guests provide their own sheets and towels, please. Wifi, paperbacks, a few board games, kitchen utensils, kayak, and life jackets included. The area is very wooded, so there is no lawn to speak of. The local towns spray for mosquitos, so they haven't been much of an issue. The neighbors tend to be very quiet, although a few folks across the lake are very patriotic every 4th of July. The town of Brandon is only 5 miles away and pretty fun by Vermont standards. There are a few good restaurants and cafés, a farmers' market, a good grocery store, and hardware store. Kingsley Mill Manor was built in the mid 1800's for a mill owner. It has been totally renovated and enlarged. No other house is within sight of this private Vermont vacation wonderland. Just beyond the backyard a river flows and is dammed, creating our private swimming area. The waterfall over the dam can be viewed from the back deck and the master bedroom suite. Music from the falls bathes the house, soothing all who experience it. Also in the backyard is an outdoor fire pit with plenty of wood to toast your marshmallows and warm your hearts. Hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snowmobile trails start at the back door and connect to the VAST statewide trail system. Lake Dunmore is less than 2 miles away, a quick drive or less than an hour hike via the backyard trail. Middlebury College is 10 minutes from the house. Watch the sun rise over Mt. Moosalamoo. Enjoy bonfires in the backyard fire pit. A wrap around porch with a hanging loveseat defines easy living, and our four season screened porch offers privacy, river music, a fireplace pellet stove and space for everyone to gather. A large farm table in the dining room, built by the owner from a tree that died on the property offers a gathering spot for dinner, games, and telling stories. Our lawn is large enough for tents, we have plenty of parking and a large propane grill rests on the back deck for indoor or outdoor eating. A large octagon picnic table in the backyard offer room to feast under an umbrella . We have had pets and understand the need for your pet to be included in your vacation. It is our pleasure to accept dogs. We only ask that you keep them off the furniture, crate them if they are left in the house alone, and please clean up after them. We used to live two hours drive away from this wonderful place. During the covid 19 lockdown, we decided to spend it here. Our time was dedicated to renovation and painting, using our free time as wisely as we could imagine. The interior of the house has a new coat of paint or two and we are still working on the outside. It became obvious to us that we should live on the property full time, in order to deal with any emergencies as well as enabling more thorough cleaning between guests. We’ve created our own efficiency apartment in the basement, which has never been a part of the vacation rental above. The space is very private, soundproofed and is served by a separate door and parking area. We are a quiet older couple, but please don’t worry about you being quiet. Our goal is for you to have as hearty vacation as you like, or a very quiet, private one if you prefer. We are available for questions, suggestions and solving problems or we can be completely unseen and unheard, as you wish. Our vacation rental quickly makes everyone feel at home in a surrounding spacious enough for family gathering, reunions, weddings, or simply to get away from it all in pure Vermont style. Built over 175 years ago, we have the only mill that still stands in Salisbury. Multiple trails take you to other sites along the natural waterways. One of them includes a footbridge over the falls to a private island for your fun and adventure. Our sandy beach offers private swimming on the pond behind the dam on Leicester River. Suits are optional: with no visible neighbors feel free to bask in the sun on the banks of our sandy beach. This private swimming area is four feet at the deepest, shallow enough for children, deep enough for real swimming. Adult supervision is required for children. This is snowmobile and cross country ski heaven: Middlebury Snow Bowl is very close for downhill skiing, Killington less than an hour away. Literally from our back door you can cross country ski on challenging trails with no trail fees. For snowmobilers it is heaven. Access to the VAST trail is direct from the backyard. There is a pond for ice fishermen as well as a private trail to Lake Dunmore. Ice skating in the wild or at the rink just ten minutes away. Snow shoeing on our ski trails will take you through the woods and open land. From here you can roam the entire state of Vermont on the VAST trail system.

Quiet little camp on the North End Point of Fern Lake that has just been renovated. Three small but quaint bedrooms . Two with full size beds and one with a queen. A wonderful 32’ four season porch (**see note below) with bunk bed, bar, gas fireplace and fridge that leads out onto a beautiful deck all facing the lake. Newly tiled walk-in shower. Also there is a picnic table and a large gas grill to cook up that perfect steak at the end of the day. the lake is perfect for floating however depending on the time of year the water level in front of our camp can range from 5’- 9’. You might want to bring water shoes after all this is a lake in VERMONT and the bottom tends to be mucky - Yard games, small fishing boat with trolling motor, kayaks, life jackets, floaters,firewood, beach chairs, are all on site. Wi-Fi , dish tv are also hooked up for those who would like to spend a quiet evening catching up on their shows. Towels,linens and bedding are clean and fresh for you to use. Near by is a great Pizza & Ice-cream place called Kampersville Deli. It is also near my Favorite -Paddlers Pub. This mountain retreat is nestled inside the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area of Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest. It sits down in a hollow on 10 private, densely wooded acres at the end of a narrow, canopied gravel road one mile from the closest public thoroughfare. When here, you will find yourself in the heart of wilderness surrounded by a forest of ash, cherry, sugar maple, beech, birch, hemlock, hickory, northern red oak, spruce, balsam fir and white pine. You may also be visited by the occasional squatter such as black bear, moose, deer or flock of wild turkeys. The property is strategically built on granite ledge on land that slopes toward a babbling brook and an old overgrown logging road (great for hiking and spotting wildlife). It is a crossroads for wildlife and extensive bird activity not only because there are no nearby roads or neighborly activity, but because of its extensive granite ledges all along the brook's ravine walls where animals search for forage and take shelter. The house will comfortably sleep 6-8 people. It consists of 2 BR each with a queen bed, and an additional spacious sun-filled loft leading out to a cedar deck with breathtaking foliage views. Loft includes a convertible full-size lounger and queen-sized air mattress with additional floor space for sleeping bags. It has 1.5 baths, plus a refreshing outdoor shower. The entire kitchen was just renovated and includes new stainless steel appliances as well as all kitchen utensils and dishware, such as a Keurig, mini food processor, and blender. Note there is no microwave. Enjoy sitting on the new front and back cedar decks or around the fire pit absorbing the beauty and sounds (many wild birds) of the tree canopy rising from the babbling brook.
